If students in a cage, the minimum dimensions of 75x45x65 cm should be. Is used mainly woven nests of canaries in cages surrounded by semi-open vegetation. Should be offered different kinds of nests in hidden, but must remain accessible to the farmer for the observation and monitoring of the nest during incubation and after.

To ease the coupling, we must develop the battery or the aviary with branches or plants to be closer to more natural habitat. Care should be taken to provide a diet high in animal protein and vitamins to encourage reproduction. During breeding, provide for an insectivore mash mixed with an egg mash, and ensure an intake of animal protein, ant eggs, pinkies, mealworms and buffalo.
